How Minterminds Built FurryMet to Connect Pet Owners, Pets and Local Services

Overview

Arranging a meeting with another pet owner starts with knowing a little about their pet. A photograph catches the eye, but details such as age and breed help owners decide whether to start a conversation.

FurryMet brings this discovery process into a pet dating and social platform. Owners create their profiles, add their pets and browse other pet profiles through a swipe-based experience. They can then chat with other owners and arrange to meet.

Minterminds developed the web platform and mobile application, bringing these social features together with two practical modules: nearby veterinary doctors and pet stores. The result is a platform that supports both pet-related connections and access to local services.

The Project Goal

FurryMet needed to connect three activities within one product: discovering other pets, communicating with their owners and finding relevant services nearby.

The social experience needed to give owners enough information to begin a conversation. Pet photographs and profile details would form the starting point, followed by chat and arrangements to meet.

The service modules had a different purpose. Owners needed to find nearby doctors, review their details and book appointments. They also needed a way to explore local pet stores, check what they offered and plan a visit.
